Premier Volleyball League
-
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and Junior Premier Volleyball League (JPVL) represent the highest structured club volleyball competitions in Queensland, providing athletes with the opportunity to compete in a high-performance, team-based environment. These leagues bring together clubs from across the state, offering a competitive platform where athletes are challenged technically, tactically, and mentally through regular match play.
Participation in PVL and JPVL fosters not only technical development, but also teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of club culture. These competitions form the backbone of the Wests volleyball pathway, connecting junior development to senior competition and long-term athlete growth.
-
Typically, PVL is played between the end of April to the start of September.
The competition is sorted into three distinct Tiers: Tier 1, Tier 2, and the Junior Tier.
Tier 1: Premier Division / Challenger Division
Tier 2: Division 1 / Division 2 / Division 3 / Division 4
Junior Tier: Under 19 / Under 17 / Under 15
Any athlete may play in Tier 1 and Tier 2, however you must not turn that age during the course of the year (eg: an athlete who wants to play in U17 must not turn 17 in that calendar year).
