our story

West Brisbane Volleyball Club (Wests) was first established in 2022. Fresh out of school from Brisbane Boys College, the club was born out of a passion to continue playing and to grow the sport at the school.

Our first year wasn't all to special, training out of Kenmore SHS and Corinda SHS, we managed to muster up 6 teams of players from BBC, ATC, Nudgee, and surrounding schools to compete in PVL across 6 divisions. It wasn't much, but the love of the game kept us going.

In our second and third year, we started to climb onto the podium claiming medals at Junior State Championships and PVL. By 2025, we had made it back home again, having found our new home at Brisbane Boys College, back where this dream had all started.

In a first for our club, we managed to win gold in the Men’s Challenger Division in PVL, claim the U17 Boys Gold at Junior State Championships, and defended our U19 Boys Gold for a 3-year run.
